Across RJ North, the anthem, parade, and felicitations for Security Guards, ASOs and support staff reflected gratitude and pride in those who safeguard Cairn’s operations. At RJ South, the tricolour soared high as employees gathered in a moving display of unity. Celebrations at the West Coast and Northeast locations echoed the same fervour, where teams embraced tradition, community engagement and heartfelt participation.

The patriotic spirit extended beyond worksites into community celebrations. At CEC & CCoE, Vandana Mehra, Head- Land Acquisition, honoured staff, drivers and students during the flag hoisting. In Barmer, Cairn CSR was recognised by District Hospital authorities for transformative healthcare support. At Suvali, Vishal Agarwal, Head- CSR, felicitated meritorious students, while in Assam, patriotic celebrations at the Handloom Centre and schools fostered community pride. This Friendship Day, our workplace came alive with laughter, colors and the sweet spirit of camaraderie as we celebrated Desk Buddies Day. From the morning itself, desks turned into little hubs of joy, snacks were passed around, colorful cards were exchanged and friendship bands found their way onto wrists. The air was filled with cheerful chatter and the rustle of candy wrappers, reminding everyone that sometimes the smallest gestures bring the biggest smiles.

What made the day truly special was the reminder that friendship isn’t just outside office walls, it blooms right at our desks. Whether it’s sharing a quick snack during a busy day, lending a helping hand in a project or simply being there to listen, our desk buddies make every challenge lighter and every day brighter. After all, the best support often isn’t far away, it’s just a desk away.

The one-week training followed a well-structured curriculum that covered critical emergency response modules. These included firefighting using extinguishers at pipelines, wellheads and electrical panels, hose and nozzle operation with dry and wet drills, and emergency communication protocols along with a live demonstration of BLEVE (Boiling Liquid Expanding Vapor Explosion). Participants were also trained in the donning and doffing of Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), search and rescue missions in smoke-filled environments, handling fires in road tanker trucks, and tackling large-scale storage tank fires using foam systems. Scenarios such as rig fires, fires in dykes/bund areas, and CPR practice using mannequins ensured the training addressed a wide range of high-risk situations. In addition, accident causation frameworks like the Why Matrix and Swiss Cheese Model were introduced to instil a deeper understanding of incident prevention.

The immersive format of the training kept participants highly engaged, with active participation and visible enthusiasm throughout the sessions. The hands-on approach and relevance to real-world challenges ensured that key concepts were internalized effectively. Many attendees shared that the training surpassed their expectations, praising the trainers’ expertise, the clarity of instruction, and the opportunity to apply learnings in simulated environments. Group activities and live demonstrations created a collaborative atmosphere, promoting team coordination and trust, critical elements in any emergency response.

The training went beyond technical upskilling, fostering a renewed sense of safety consciousness among the workforce. Participants left with enhanced confidence in their ability to respond to emergencies and a heightened awareness of the importance of preparedness in high-stakes situations. The program also strengthened camaraderie among team members and reinforced Cairn’s culture of safety and responsibility. Initiatives like this demonstrate Cairn’s commitment to operational safety, environmental protection and continuous improvement in emergency response standards across its exploration and production activities.

With Q1 targets successfully met, the Townhall began on a note of appreciation. The leadership team extended heartfelt congratulations to employees across the board, applauding their dedication, resilience and collaboration in achieving business goals. Their words resonated deeply, reminding all attendees that behind every milestone lies the strength of a united team. The recognition wasn’t limited to metrics, it was about people and the collective spirit that drives Cairn forward.

This Townhall wasn’t just a look back, it was a call to action. With the next quarter on the horizon, the leadership turned its gaze to the future, encouraging employees to think beyond routine responsibilities and explore roles and projects that align with their personal passions and aspirations. Emphasis was placed on ownership, innovation and voluntary initiative on stepping up, leaning in and shaping one’s own path. Employees were inspired to see themselves not just as part of a process, but as catalysts for transformation.

As the session came to a close, the atmosphere was charged with clarity, conviction and a deep sense of belonging. The team then proceeded to Naginijan, where they engaged with site teams and acknowledged their contributions to operational excellence. On-ground interactions opened up valuable discussions around field priorities and daily challenges, demonstrating the leadership’s intent to listen, learn and collaborate. The day concluded with a vibrant team dinner, which offered a relaxed setting for informal conversations, building stronger interpersonal connections and encouraging open exchange across roles and levels.

The second day included a visit to Hazarigaon to witness the resilience and execution of field operations, followed by a cultural stop at a local tea garden that offered insights into the identity and spirit of Assam. Leaders later met with SP1 teams to appreciate their dedication to safety, cost control, and compliance, before concluding the visit with a Round Table discussion involving employees and business partners. The dialogue was marked by transparency and mutual respect, covering performance metrics, future goals and collaborative growth. This two-day engagement reaffirmed Cairn’s belief that leadership thrives when it’s inclusive, connected and present driving not just operational outcomes, but meaningful relationships across the board.

Across our locations, each team brought their own unique energy to the day. At the Corporate Office, employees participated in a virtual yoga session from their workspaces creating a shared moment of calm despite the distance. At RJ South, a serene morning began with yoga and pranayama led by Mr. Surender Singh, followed by a wellness walk and healthy refreshments. RJ North curated a journey of wellness with activities ranging from salad-making competitions and sand dune meditation to yoga sessions that welcomed over 150 business partners. Suvali Site hosted an in-person session guided by an Art of Living certified trainer, blending asanas, Sudarshan Kriya and meditation with virtual participation extending the experience to other locations.

The hybrid format enabled seamless participation and reinforced the message that well-being has no limits. This year’s Yoga Day was more than a celebration, it was a reaffirmation of Cairn’s commitment to building a culture that values mindfulness, balance and community. As we reflect on the month of June with its conversations, celebrations and moments of stillness, we carry forward a deeper understanding: wellness thrives when nurtured with purpose, unity and care.

The heart of the event came alive through stories especially when fathers recalled the moment they first held their child. These stories, shared with pride and emotion created a sense of shared reflection connecting generations through love and lived experiences. The mood soon lightened with a round of dumb charades where both young and old embraced the moment with spirited performances, infectious laughter and a healthy dose of friendly teasing.

To celebrate the everyday heroism of fathers, each father was adorned with a cheerful “Super Dad” sash- a symbol of their strength, patience and presence. The celebration ended on a sweet note with nostalgic snacks like peanut butter sandwiches, popcorn, chilled mango juice and slices of cake enjoyed by all. More than an occasion, the day was a heartfelt reminder of the bonds that shape us, the stories that stay with us and the love that only grows with time.

At RJ North, the month began on a joyful note with a Family Game Night at MPT OB where employees and their families shared laughter, strengthened bonds and created lasting memories.

There was also a powerful Leadership Coffee Connect held with Arpit Mundra, our Chief Financial Officer. Held in person at RJ North and streamed virtually across sites, the session offered valuable perspectives on finance, leadership and purpose led growth, sparking insightful conversations company-wide.

RJ South continued to nurture its strong sense of community with an engaging Leadership Connect led by Swapnil Sharma, Head of Operations. His candid reflections on operational excellence, resilience and adaptability resonated deeply with employees navigating an ever evolving business landscape.

On the West Coast, the team added a creative spin to employee engagement with ‘Brew & Battle’, a High-Tea Game Mixer that turned an ordinary chai break into a vibrant celebration of camaraderie and fun. Alongside this, an HR Connect session provided a safe and open forum for employees to share feedback, ask questions and build closer connections with the HR team.

In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, Cairn launched a specially curated library of TED Talks and e-learning modules that encouraged self-reflection, emotional resilience and daily mindfulness. Accessible anytime, these resources gave employees the flexibility to invest in their mental well-being at their own pace.

Complementing these initiatives were three impactful wellness sessions hosted by Marsh Mercer under the theme #MayWellnessWithSuperMoms. These sessions: “Beyond the Numbers: A Holistic Approach to Hypertension Management” on May 14, “Say Goodbye to Antacids: Unlock the Magic of Fermented Foods for Ultimate Gut Harmony!” on May 25, and “Power, Purpose & Parenthood: The Real Journey of Working Mothers” on May 28, offered actionable insights into physical health, nutritional well-being and the emotional journey of working mothers. Each session sparked rich conversations helping employees
explore healthier, more balanced lifestyles.

Together, these initiatives made May a truly special month at Cairn. From leadership dialogues and wellness sessions to playful tea-time mixers, the spirit of togetherness was palpable. These moments didn’t just celebrate our people, they reflected the val ues we hold close: inclusivity, care, and continuous growth. As we look ahead, we carry with us the warmth, wisdom and energy of a month that reminded us we’re better together.
